As of January 1 2010 this new code takes effect and by April 1st, 2010 all contractors need to be in compliance with the code requirement change. What this means for home owners is that their contractors need to be aware and knowledgeable in the new code requirements. NW Custom Exteriors has completed training and has begun to offer all residing packages with an upgradeable exterior water envelope option.
The exterior water envelope consists of a water resistant permeable barrier (WRB), flashing, caulk and an air gap. The air gap is located between the WRB and the siding. The gap helps direct water away from your home and helps protect the home from water damage and buildup. This is a requirement of the State of Oregon for all new construction and remodeling projects.
Make sure your home is up to code, materials are installed correctly and your contractor has knowledge and training on the new requirements. NW Custom Exteriors installs Rainscreen Management Systems to protect your home and comply with State requirements! CALL US TODAY 503-925-8700
